Summary from Goodreads:
Sophomore year in high
school comes with its own set of problems. You're no longer a freshmen, but
you're still two years away from ruling the school. So, you sit and languish in
a kind of purgatory until junior year, when things start to get interesting.
That is, unless during your sophomore year, you find your boyfriend making out
with another girl in front of your locker. Then, interesting takes on a whole
new meaning, and that's what happened to seventeen-year-old Meg Flannigan. It's
no wonder her self-esteem suffered a major hit.
Now a senior, Meg catches the eye of not one, but two guys at school (I know,
right?). They happen to both be gorgeous, and each vies for her attention in
the most flattering of ways. Sounds good, right? Not if one of the guys is her
boyfriend, and the other one wants to be.
Meg doesn’t want to lose Ash. They’ve been together for almost five months, and
she’s falling in love with him. But Noah. Ah, Noah. He’s the irresistible guy
Meg has been crushing on for two years, and she isn’t ready to send him away
either. But stringing both along could have disastrous results, leaving Meg in
the cold once again.
One thing's certain. Meg needs to decide between Ash and Noah soon, or she'll
lose her perfect match forever.
PERFECT FOR YOU was released previously as two novellas. Ashleyn wanted to give
her readers more, and has decided to write an entire novel based around Meg's
story.

Rating: 2 Stars
Review: I am struggling to write this review. I’m torn between “Eh, it was OK” and “I sort of like this book”. The overall concept was unique and the story really has potential, but I don’t think it was well executed. The first chapter drags, it gives a lot of background in a straightforward way. The book is like a strange and inconsistent ride, sometimes I’d feel sucked in and like I was moving with the momentum, then suddenly I’d be jerked to a stop and the book would drag. I also felt like there was a strange split in the plot, at first we were learning about what Katie is and what her role will be, then suddenly we are learning about this place where Moon Angels live, and then suddenly there is some war-like action thrown in. Perhaps if the book were longer, the transitions could have been better and more fluid.
I also had a few problems with the writing: the book takes place in US, but is written in UK English; there is a lot of repetitive sentence structure; and the conversations between teens do not feel real – it’s too proper. The book also ends suddenly – like literally out of nowhere, it’s not a cliffhanger.
In my opinion, this book would benefit from some fleshing
out, and a few good rounds of editing. The concept of Moon Angels, what they do
and where they live is awesome and there are some parts of this book that were
well written.
I received a copy of this book for free from the author in

The Harry Potter Series!
Seriously, this is the series that changed my life as a reader. I love how I get transported to Hogwarts each time I read these books. I also love how my heart races every time I read scenes in which Harry faces You-Know-Who, even when I know the outcome, the scenes get me every time. I re-read each of the books as the new books were published. I even re-read them again in the summer of 2011. And I've FINALLY convinced my sister to read them!

Ender's Game
Another book that has touched me in an indescribable way. I have read this book at least 5 times and I recommend it to everyone. It gets my heart racing and every time I finish this book I am left feeling stunned. I also learn something new every time I read this book and I always walk away with a deeper understanding of the characters and the story.

With amazing world building, it's impossible not to be drawn into the world of these books. Katsa is an amazing, kick-ass heroin and I loved her from the start. One of my favorite things about the series, is that each book takes place in the same world, but in a slightly different time and follows a different female character.

Throne of Glass Series
Another book with an awesome heroin and fabulous world building. The first book in the series sucked me in, spit me out, and left me dying for more; so of course I immediately purchased all of the novellas right away and downloaded book two, Crown of Midnight, on its release day. Now I am anxiously awaiting the release of the third book in the series, Heir of Fire.
The Ascendance Trilogy
These books are a bit on the lighter side (intended for a middle school audience, I think). They are fun to read and have great characters that you can't help but root for. They have a great pace and each book left me wanting more.

The Hunger Games
Another book that I've read multiple times, this book always makes me feel like I have been walloped upside my head. It's powerful and moving and has a kick-ass heroine.
Carnival of Secrets
So, when I read this book is was called Carnival of Souls and had a different cover. But anyways, I gave it 5 stars and I am really excited to see that there is a second book in this series.
The Heir Chronicles
I stumbled on this book at Barnes and Noble one day and I just felt drawn to it. Before I knew it, I had read the entire series. This is the type of book that you can't help but sucked into it.

The Sookie Stackhouse Series
This 13 book series started out super strong, I've read the first 7 books at least 5 times and loved them every time. The second half gets a little crazy, but the books are all still really good.

Stolen Songbird
I received this book from NetGalley and was surprised by how good it was. It's about trolls, which is something I'm not used to. But I am totally looking forward to more from this series. Check out my review here
